The magical story of The Elves and the Shoemaker captivated Luton burns survivor Shamiam Arif and her family when they saw the show at Luton Library Theatre.

The enchanting tale of madcap little sprites and their desire to do good is produced by Full House Theatre, who’ve had previous festive hits with A Christmas Carol, Rapunzel and Beauty and the Beast.

Thirteen-year-old Shamiam was accompanied by her brother Shakaib, sisters Shamita and Monoor and cousins Aadil, Ayesha, Bilal and Haris.

They all loved the story of the poor shoemaker struggling to make a living until one magical morning when he wakes to find a pair of delicate shoes made for him to sell, thanks to the kindness of the cheeky little elves who only come out at night.

The children were spellbound by the special effects in the show, which was sold out for its entire run.
