Stopsley was spruced up on Saturday (March 21), courtesy of Stopsley Baptist Church, Signposts Team SP and a group of volunteers.

They were taking part in the national spring clean, backed by the Government and aimed at tidying up the country’s high streets and residential and business areas, as well as villages and parks.

The team of 25 set themselves a two hour deadline to clean up the area between Sunningdale and Mixes Hill, a popular route for children on their way to school, dog walkers and others.

They collected a large tent, 43 bags of rubbish and seven buckets of glass – earning the thanks of passers-by.
