Farley Junior School has a wartime garden, complete with an authetic Anderson shelter, that youngsters will be able to explore and enjoy for years to come.

It’s part of a year-long project which was completed, thanks to a grant from the Heritage lottery Fund. Pupils studied life during World War Two, its impact on those who lived through it and its connections with Luton.

Headboy Akash Rathor said: “It gives us a chance to feel like a child during the war.”
