VIDEO: School leaders dance Gangnam Style!

Waiting for Video...

Luton is a long way from the flashy Seoul district that inspired Psy’s mega-hit Gangnam Style, but that didn’t stop a team of teachers from recreating the song’s video for Comic Relief.

Fundraising events took place at Surrey Street Primary School throughout last week, with a promise that if £500 was raised, teachers would do the Gangnam Style dance at Friday assembly.

And the school’s senior leadership team bravely agreed to star in their very own video if a target of £1,000 was reached.

The efforts of pupils and parents saw the school’s Comic Relief coffers reach £1,100, and headteacher Denise Meadows, deputy head Gemma Blackwell and assistant heads Lyn Adams and Nikki Thorn duly took off their teacher hats and recreated the internet’s most-viewed music video, with the school’s soon-to-be new home in Cutenhoe Road as their backdrop.

Watch the video to see Denise and her team dancing Gangnam Style!
