Woman arrested at Luton airport over terror suspicions

A women has been arrested at Luton Airport in connection with Syria-related terror crimes.

The 25-year-old from Haringey in London, was arrested at around 11.30am today as she disembarked a flight from Istanbul in Turkey.

The arrest was part of an on-going intelligence-led policing operation.

She is being held at a police station in the West Midlands on suspicion of preparing for acts of terrorism.

It follows two arrests in Bedford yesterday on a terror related investigation. The men have since been bailed.
