Woman attacked and robbed after using cashpoint


A woman was forced to the floor and robbed seconds after using a cashpoint in Farley Hill on Monday.

The incident took place at around 1am when the 46-year-old victim visited the cashpoint at Farley Hill Post Office in Market Square, Luton.

After withdrawing cash she was approached by two offenders who forced her to the floor, grabbed her money and then ran away towards Ross Close.
Detective Constable Gill Cowley, who is investigating the robbery, would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the attack and may have seen the offenders before or after the incident.

The first offender was a black man, in his late 20s, around 6ft tall, slim build and wearing a black tracksuit top and blue jeans.

The second offender was also a black man, of similar age, height and build. He was wearing a blue jumper and blue jeans.
