Woman injured in serious High Town crash

An East of England Ambulance spokesman said that a woman in her 50s had been injured in the crash, but is understood to be breathing and in a stable condition.

An eyewitness further claims the woman was cut from her vehicle following the collision.

A Beds Police spokesman said: “Officers are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on Hitchin Road, Luton.

“We were called at around 12.30pm today (21 March) to reports of a collision between two cars. Emergency services have closed the road and are establishing the circumstances of the incident.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 150 of today.”
