Luton District & South Beds League round-up

It was an average day for the Luton District & South Beds League's representatives in the second round of the Beds FA Junuor Cup.

Four sides were in action, but only Christians In Sport IIs put their name in the hat for the third round draw as they cruised past Sharnbrook Reserves with a comfortable 4-1 victory.

A Gavin Smith hat-trick and one from Sam Cooper were not enough to keep Co-Op Sports in the competition as they went down 5-4 to Harpur.

Luton Leagrave IIs were beaten 6-3 by Marston Shelton Rovers and LB Galaxy were on the wrong end of a 15-1 drubbing from Bedford Hatters.

In the William Pease Cup, goals from Jimmy Bolton, Luke Blackburn and Shane Tracy led Ewe & Lamb to a 3-0 victory against Square FC.

Caddington Reserves produced their best performance of the season, but couldn't prevent high-flying USL Galacticos from recording a 2-1 win in the Premier Division.

Stopsley Common, who are level on points at the top of the division with Ewe & Lamb and St Jospeh's, were made to work for their points by Luton Leagrave, scraping to a 4-3 triumph.

Leagrave's goals came from Barry Clarke, Leigh Elms and Ian Grayson, but they weren't quite enough to stop Stopsley whose tally was made up from strikes from Darren McPherson, Daniel Douglas, Greg Roberts and Emmanuel Wilson.

Offley Social trounced Lewsey Park 5-1 with goals from Shaun Fahy, Nathan Blankley, Mark Doran and James Matthews (2).

Wayne Hymus hit a hat-trick as St Joseph's eased past Stopsley Park IIs 4-0, Neil Dowsett getting the other.

In Division One, Real F&E ruined Farley Boys' 100 per cent reocrd with a 3-0 victory while 61 FC IIIs got the better of St Jospeh's second string by a comprehensive 4-0 margin.
