The IIs claimed a 92-run win against Potters Bar IIs in Division Three B thanks to opening bowlers Mohammed Ismael and Divyesh Patel at Wardown Park.

Luton posted 163-7 all out as Prayag Katechia hit an unbeaten 39 combined with 31 not out from Zainul Abadeen, before Ismael took 4-19 and Patel 3-15 to reduce the visitors to just 71 all out.

The IIIs travelled to Ickleford IIs in Division Five B and another poor batting show saw them bowled out for just 85, Masood Mahmood top scoring with 24.

Gagan Kashyap took 2-24 from 11 overs, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Luton suffering a seven-wicket defeat.

The IVs were also beaten by seven wickets in Division Eight A as after making 121, St Albans IIIs reached 123-3.

With all the club’s Sunday sides having a weekend off, attention was focused on Indians’ IVs who claimed an 83-run win over promotion-chasing Eversholt IIs in Beds County League Division Five.

Luton posted a solid total of 184 all out with Harisman Jit Singh top scoring with 59, followed up by 38 from Samsher Singh.

Navdeep Singh then took a crucial 5-28 as he ripped through Eversholt’s batting line-up and bowl the visitors out for just 101.
