Luton centre Steve Ellis was ecstatic to get his chance with RFU Championship side Bedford Blues.
On his moved to Goldington Road, Ellis said: “I felt good when the opportunity presented itself and they offered me a trial, bearing in mind that I have been playing in much lower leagues than the Championship.
“Blues have got a great work ethic and ability to trust players, as long as they put in the hours in training and show their talent, the coaches will be able to award their perseverance.
“I’m looking forward to impressing my new team-mates and I’m glad to be part of the team, and looking forward to be available for match days.”
Ellis played for Luton at the weekend, scoring a try in their 24-24 draw with Romford & Gidea Park.
