AFC Dunstable turn down signing Luton player on loan
A WONDER strike from Kyle Lincoln helped resolute AFC Dunstable register 10 wins out of 10 with a 4-2 victory at St Margaretsbury in Molten Spartan SML Premier on Saturday.
Having thrown away a two-goal lead, AFC eventually prevailed to go joint second in the league and manager Alex Butler revealed he had been forced to turn down signing a Luton Town player on loan due to his squad’s strength.
He said: “It shows the team’s performances are making waves, as securing the signing of Tony Burnett from Berkhamsted is a great coup and now gives me more forward options.
“We were even offered a player from Luton Town on loan in the week but it is hard enough keeping the squad happy at the moment.”
Graeme Buchanan, Gareth Harnaman and Hayden Wills scored the other goals and for the full report, see the Luton News/Dunstable Gazette on sale now.
