Dunstable ease past United

Dunstable Town made progress in the Beds Senior Cup with a 3-0 victory over Biggleswade United on Tuesday evening.

The visitors rode their luck in the first half as Lee Roache saw one shot almost creep in, while George Brinkman hit the bar.

In the second period, Roache opened the scoring after 56 minutes, evading several challenges inside the box.

A well-worked second arrived when Roache finished off good approach work by Newman Carney, Jonathan Cooper and Daniel Hutchins on 67 minutes to make it 21 goals for the season.

An unchallenged Carney added the third after 75 minutes as Dunstable cruised through to a home tie with Southern League side Biggleswade Town in the next round.

This weekend, Dunstable visit Enfield 1893 in the FA Vase.
