Crawley Green recovered from their midweek mauling by Welwyn to record a comfortable 5-1 SML Division one win against Wodson Park on Saturday.
The hosts were ahead after just two minutes when Liam Toomey set up Aaron Wilson who fired home.
Jack Downes then had two shots blocked before Sam Pemberton had an effort well saved by Will Musgrove.
The lead was doubled on 24 minutes though as Downes’ corner was bundled over the line by Rob Newman.
It was 3-0 after half an hour when Toomey’s shot was parried by Musgrove and Newman nipped in to score.
Completely against the run of play Wodson got back into the game just before half time as Daniel Mead was harshly penalised for handball and Peter Sawyer stepped up to send Dean Bull the wrong way .
In the second period, Crawley should have wrapped up victory as Stuart Strange rounded the keeper, but Pemberton fired over the open goal.
In the closing stages, Green did add to their tally though as Toomey robbed Matt Taylor and beat Musgrove.
Wodson then hit the post, but Crawley broke away and Strange fed Jake Alderson who completed the scoring.
Crawley Green’s third team hammered Christians In Sport with goals from Danny Roe, Joseph Adenola, Reece Green, Tyne Martin and Richard Lewis.
Crawley visit Buckingham Athletic this weekend.
