Dunstable Town defender Luke Pennell is poised to complete a move to Championship side Fulham this week.
The 19-year-old was signed by the Blues from Milton Keynes College in the summer.
Since arriving at Creasey Park, Pennell has caught the eye of a number of Football League clubs, but now it appears Craven Cottage will be his destination.
Dunstable chairman John McLoughlin said: “This now shows the quality of coaching from my management team Anthony Fontenelle and Danny Talbot.
“Although Dunstable Town cannot afford to contract players so we miss out, I am proud to see players moving on to bigger and better things.
“DTFC have changed the whole philosophy. We get players in to make them a better player and this shows on the pitch.”
