Southern League Premier Division: Frome Town 4 Dunstable Town 3.

Dunstable Town suffered a cruel injury-time defeat against Frome Town on Wednesday night.

The visitors were without Jamie Head and Adam Watkins, who are out for the remainder of the season, while Lee Roache, Zack Reynolds and Gary Wharton missed out too.

Connor Calcutt wasted a good early chance, while he had another saved by Alex Shaftoe, before Frome took the lead on 10 minutes when Michael Bryant’s effort deceived keeper Bart Pedrycz.

Blues tried to hit back as David Longe-King’s header was deflected behind for a corner and from the set-piece, James Kaloczi’s effort hit the inside of the post.

Jonathan Edwards and Kaloczi also missed chances, but the hosts then counter-attacked to make it 2-0 on 28 minutes.

In the second period, Chris Vardy and Edwards looked for way back, while Edwards had a shot blocked, before the Blues were back in the game after an hour when Edwards’ shot went in.

However, Frome had a third against the run of play on 71 minutes when Jon Davies found the net from a set-piece.

Dunstable then produced a fine fight back as Calcutt pulled one back two minutes later, before Town were level in a bizarre manner as Connor Roberts was adjudged to have put through his own net, despite the ball not looking like it crossed the line.

However, three minutes into stoppage time, Frome won it when Chris McPhee scored to ensure his side claimed all three points.
