Dunstable Town defender Ben Herd has been impressed with the ambition shown at Creasey Park.
The 29-year-old former Aldershot and Shrewsbury Town full back has made over 300 Football League appearances, but was enticed to the Blues, who start their Southern League Premier Division campaign on Saturday.
Herd said: “There’s a project here and a belief they can climb the league.
“I wouldn’t be here if they didn’t have any ambition, it’s really good and I’m buying into what they’re trying to do.
“They’ve bought into me as an individual and it’s a club that fits at the moment.
“It works well and going forward hopefully we can get the success on the pitch.”
