Midfielder Alex Lawless was delighted to be the centre of attention after scoring the winner over Wolves in the FA Cup on Saturday, writes Mike Simmonds.

With 46 minutes on the clock, the ball was headed half clear by towering Wolves defender Roger Johnson, only for it to fall perfectly for Lawless to volley past Carl Ikeme.

He said: “The lads have worked hard and it’s great to get the goal and everybody’s asking me about it.

“But Tyles (Mark Tyler) in goal is making saves, and the lads have worked really hard, so it’s nice to get that reward.”
