Hatters hopeful over Gray’s fitness
Hatters are hopeful that striker Andre Gray will be fit for Saturday’s Blue Square Bet Premier trip to AFC Telford, writes Mike Simmonds.
The 21-year-old forward has been in red hot form recently, scoring five goals in his last five games, but was taken off during the first half of the 2-1 FA Trophy win at Matlock on Saturday with a calf problem.
Manager Paul Buckle said: “We think that we saved it in time.
“Andre’s still learning the game at a young age but with his pace and his power, he’s been excellent.”
The boss meanwhile doesn’t think that there will be any bad blood left over between the sides after their last match which saw both clubs charged with failing to control their players.
