Henry stakes his spot-kick claim as misses become ‘alarmingly worrying’
TOWN’S profligacy from the spot is becoming ‘alarmingly worrying’ according to Hatters boss Gary Brabin as returning midfielder Charlie Henry became the latest player to throw his hat into the ring for penalty-taking duties after Luton missed their seventh spot-kick of the season last Tuesday, writes Mark Wood.
Stuart Fleetwood became the latest player to miss out as he was thwarted by a brilliant save by Dean Lyness on the night, but he redeemed himself by scoring the winner in the 2-1 victory.
Neither of George Pilkington or Aaron O’Connor were involved, leaving Fleetwood to pick up the poisoned chalice.
