Howells stars for Welsh U21s

TOWN starlet Jake Howells played the full 90 minutes as Wales U21s lost 1-0 at home to the Czech Republic in their UEFA U21 Championship qualifier on Tuesday night.

Vaclav Kadlec scored the only goal of the game after only five minutes with a free header from Vladmir Darida’s corner.

Howells also featured as Wales U21s edged out Montenegro 1-0 at Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground in their Euro U21 qualifier on Saturday night.

The youngster was heavily involved for Brian Flynn’s side throughout as a 58th-minute Daniel Alfei penalty claimed the points.
