Still adamant that Hatters must play by the rulebook

Fair-minded new Hatters boss John Still has insisted all football clubs must live within the rules after taking charge of Luton yesterday, writes Mark Wood.
At the time, the former Dagenham & Redbridge chief spoke out in support of the -30 point sanction that Luton suffered in 2008 for a host of financial misdemeanours.
But he said: “You’ve got to pay your bills. Things have to be done properly. And my point was, not Luton Town, if people don’t run their club properly and the rules are in place to deal with that, that’s the rule.
“I don’t make the rule, but I’m saying that’s the rule. If it was turned on its head and at that particular time Luton Town were in contention with someone else that done things absolutely wrong and Luton done everything right, what would Luton Town supporters be saying?”
