Striker Shaw hopes to feature against Brackley
Town striker Jon Shaw is hoping to play against Brackley this evening
STRIKER Jon Shaw remains confident he will have a ‘massive’ part to play this campaign despite not yet featuring during pre-season, writes Mark Wood.
The 28-year-old forward, who signed from Gateshead in the summer, is hoping to make his first appearance in a Hatters shirt in tonight’s game at Blue Square North new boys Brackley.
Shaw hit 35 goals in all competitions last season and was one of Luton’s most celebrated signings of the summer.
However, he’s had to overcome a hernia operation and, although he’s impatient to start life in a Hatters shirt, he knows his chances will come.
