Town’s players will be responsible for whether or not there is any more recruitment at Kenilworth Road before the transfer window closes on August 31, writes Mike Simmonds.

Boss Paul Buckle hinted that he might add another signing to his squad before the season opener at Gateshead, but there were no few additions made.

Any moves that Buckle does make will be after Friday’s trip to Hyde because the boss hasn’t had the time to give potential deals his full attention.

He said: “I don’t foresee this happening until after the next few games if we’re going to do it.”
