Wembley watch as Hatters march on
Johnstone's Paint Trophy final. Wembley Stadium. LTFC. Luton Town.
WEMBLEY is the watchword for Luton after victory at Kidderminster Harriers last Tuesday night left them just three games from a return to the home of English football, writes Mark Wood.
The 2-1 win at Aggborough earned the Hatters an FA Trophy quarter-final home tie against Gateshead or Alfreton.
Returning midfield whizz Charlie Henry admitted it would be a dream come true to play at Wembley for the first time after an injury-ravaged start to his Hatters career didn’t see him kick a ball in anger for over a year.
The 25-year-old, who made his first Town start in that game and impressed massively in midfield, said: “It would be lovely. The boys are buzzing, the boys are upbeat. Who wouldn’t like to be at Wembley? It would be lovely for us all to get to Wembley and hopefully get promoted.”
