Defender Paul Connolly can’t wait to turn out for Hatters in a league game at Kenilworth Road this weekend.
The summer signing started Town’s League Cup clash with Swindon, but suffered a hamstring injury that saw him missed the games against AFC Wimbledon and Bury.
Luton are back at Kenilworth Road against Connolly’s former club Plymouth as the right back said: “I watched the last two against Bury and Wimbledon and it killed me, absolutely killed me.
“Doing all the work in Portugal, all the training and I go and tweak a hamstring against Swindon in the cup.
“It’s sound now and it was more of a precaution as my fitness is good.
“But it was so disappointing for me to watch that, although it’s given me a perspective on watching things and I’m hungry.
“So hopefully I can do enough to be selected.”
