Returning midfielder Andy Drury believes Hatters’ squad can cope with the sale of star striker Andre Gray to Brentford, writes Mike Simmonds.
Gray, who scored 30 goals last season, joined the Championship side for a fee of more than £500,000, but Drury wasn’t fazed by his departure after a chat with Town boss John Still.
He said: “I spoke to the gaffer and he was confident he’s already got the payers here to replace him, which was pleasing.
Drury flew out with the rest of the squad for the training camp in Portugal this week, but it’s the cut and thrust of the season starting next month he is eagerly anticipating the most.
