Hatters midfielder Alex Lawless is hoping to put his injury ‘nightmare’ behind him once and for all this season.
The 29-year-old Welshman had been sidelined with a hamstring injury that has limited him to just 21 minutes of league football this year.
But he had the second half of Town’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat to Crawley Town and then followed that up with the full match as Hatters beat Southend 2-0 on Saturday.
He said: “It was a nightmare, highly frustrating, but you’ve just got to dig in and people have moments like that.
“Hopefully I’m passed that and I’m not really looking back on what the season has been like for me so far.
“The team has got the points when I haven’t been playing and now I’m back, I want to help them continue to do that, that’s the main thing.”
One thing for sure is that Lawless will cherish his involvement in Town’s League Two campaign after netting his first-ever Football League goal at the weekend.
