Paul Benson celebrates his goal

Mark Tyler: 7 - Very quiet afternoon for Town’s keeper, although yet again, the one save he had to make, was at a crucial time with Luton leading 1-0.

Michael Harriman: 7.5 - Solid showing from Harriman who linked up well with Whalley and dinked over a lovely cross for Cullen to put a header against the bar.

Scott Griffiths: 7 - Back to his usual sound defensive ways and got forward to good effect too on a regular basis.

Steve McNulty: 8 - Skipper was as imposing as usual alongside a new partner in Franks. Such a calming influence.

Fraser Franks: 8 - Very impressive after getting the nod to replace Wilkinson. Won his headers powerfully and showed there is real competition within the squad.

Shaun Whalley: 8 - Flying winger finally showing the Kenilworth Road his true potential and his second goal in particular was real quality. With confidence boosted, he could become quite a threat.

Nathan Doyle: 8 - Such a vital acquisition by Still. Sat deep once more, broke up play and got attacks moving. Close to his first goal too with a lovely low shot.

Jonathan Smith: 8 - Relishing his chance in this Hatters side as he drove Town forward once more.

Andy Drury: 7 - Some absolutely delightful touches as we’ve come to expect from Drury, and his set-plays are always a real danger.

Mark Cullen: 7 - Got through plenty of work once more and unlucky to see an effort come back off the bar. Will be keen to end his personal goal drought now though.

Paul Benson: 7.5 - So unlucky to suffer a broken leg as was starting to look back to his best after notching a first league goal of the campaign. Hopefully won’t be out for too long.

Jake Howells (SUB): 7 - Brought on after Benson was stretchered off and started to make more of an impact in the second period.

Charlie Walker (SUB): 6.5 - Only on for a few minutes, but looked lively in that time, almost sniffing out an opportunity.

Luke Rooney (SUB): 6 - Would have had a much different afternoon had Whalley not scored as he was all ready to come on.
