Mark Tyler: 7 - Made a brilliant stop from Ertl’s dipping volley before conceding one of the more scrappy goals Luton have done so this term.
Michael Harriman: 7.5 - On-loan QPR defender found Barcham a handful at times in the first half but managed to keep him quiet for the majority of the second.
Scott Griffiths (STAR MAN): 8 - Full back gave one of his best performances in recent weeks as he bombed forward relentlessly while not forgetting his defensive duties either.
Steve McNulty: 7.5 - Skipper was in the right place more often than not once more and got Luton moving with some pinpoint passes out from the back.
Luke Wilkinson: 7.5 - Kept Pompey’s strikeforce at arms length for long periods and is always a threat in the opposition’s area too.
Nathan Doyle: 7 - Effective as ever in front of the back four, and got to venture further upfield such was Hatters’ territorial advantage after the break.
Jonathan Smith: 6.5 - Plenty of running as is to be expected from the midfielder, but just for once, his passing wasn’t quite up to scratch when Luton broke away.
Andy Drury: 7.5 - Another display full of promise from Drury, who is relishing the chance to pull the strings. Surely that first goal isn’t too far away now.
Shaun Whalley: 6 - More of an impact than he had at Wycombe as set up Rooney’s strike, but still not beating his full back on a consistent basis.
Luke Rooney: 6.5 - Cracking finish on the volley and some good touches, but couldn’t regularly find that killer final ball.
Mark Cullen: 6.5 - Such a thankless task without Luton’s injured players as he has to plough the loneliest of farrows at times out there.
Ross Lafayette (SUB): 5.5 - Given a longer run out than usual, but couldn’t really impose himself on Pompey’s centre halves.
Ricky Miller (SUB): 5.5 - Another who was thrown on to try and snatch a late winner, but found chances few and far between.
Jake Howells (SUB): 6 - Brought on for the tiring Griffiths and showed some quality on the left hand side.
