Luton Town remained firmly in the play-off hunt as they stayed sixth in League Two after today’s fixtures.

The Hatters, who weren’t in action due to their televised game with third placed Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday, could have dropped out of the top seven for the first time since October

However, Stevenage, who had occupied the final play-off berth fell to a 1-0 home defeat against Dagenham & Redbridge and were leapfrogged by both Plymouth Argyle and Newport County, after the pair drew 0-0 at Home Park.

Leaders Burton are almost certainties for promotion now after a 4-1 victory at Tranmere, with second-placed Shrewsbury also winning, 2-0 over Oxford.

Meanwhile, fourth placed Bury won 2-0 against Oxford, but Southend in fifth, were held to a goalless draw at home by Cambridge United.

Full results: Accrington 2 York 2; AFC Wimbledon 1 Portsmouth 0; Bury 2 Northampton 1; Carlisle 1 Morecambe 1; Cheltenham 1 Exeter 2; Hartlepool 1 Mansfield 0; Plymouth 0 Newport 0; Shrewsbury 2 Oxford Utd 0; Southend 0 Cambridge 0; Stevenage 0 Dag & Red 1; Tranmere 1 Burton 4.
