Long-serving midfielder Jake Howells has been left impressed by the transfer dealings of boss John Still in the summer.
With the likes of Andy Drury, Paul Connolly and Luke Wilkinson all joining, plus Ross Lafayette, Ricky Miller and Curtley Williams, Howells believes they can cope with all eventualities.
He said: “I would say it’s the strongest squad we’ve had in depth as every position we’ve got two players who are capable of playing.
“Every player has shown the reason why they’ve come to the club. Everyone’s got their own abilities and it’s shone through.
“It will help us massively in the long run and the togetherness is there too.”
One player Howells was particularly pleased to see return was Drury, while he believes they can cope with the departure of striker Andre Gray to Brentford too.
