Hatters midfielder Cameron McGeehan is hopeful of his turning his loan move at Kenilworth Road into a permament one.
The 19-year-old has signed from Norwich City until the end of the season, but both he and Luton boss John Still are keen to extend that further.
McGeehan said: “I think they have been trying to sort it out.
“I’m not sure how far it is from getting confirmed, but I think it’s definitely happening.”
Although McGeehan did well at both Luton and Cambridge, he still found opportunities at Carrow Road limited, which hastened his departure, a situation he admitted finding frustrating.
