Former Luton Town winger Luke Rooney has joined Conference South side Ebbsfleet until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old was released by Hatters yesterday, despite being the club’s second top goalscorer this term with five goals from 13 games.
He wasn’t without a club for long through, as Ebbsfleet boss Jamie Day moved to add him to the likes of recent additions Danny Kedwell and Adam Cunnington.
On letting Rooney go, Town chief John Still said: “Luke hasn’t featured so much recently after coming back to fitness so with that in mind we came to a decision to allow him to pursue a club elsewhere.
“He did a good job for us, especially early in the season, which helped us pick up form on our return to the Football League – and for that we are grateful. I wish him all the best of luck.”
