Hatters midfielder Jim Stevenson wants to give manager John Still no option but to start him in the Town first team.
The 22-year-old has impressed off the bench this season and bagged his first goal for the club during the 2-1 win at Hartlepool on Saturday.
Stevenson said: “To be in with a shout of starting is where I want to be. Then I’ve got to keep improving so that he (Still) doesn’t have a choice but to start me.
“But that’s down to me, as if I’m playing so well that he can’t not start me, that’s in my control.”
The midfielder knows opportunities are getting tougher, but believes that a more confident approach has pushed him into contention this term.
