Former Town trialist Matthew Saunders has joined Conference Premier side Dover Athletic.
The midfielder, who played in the development games against Barnet and Bournemouth was well known to Town boss John Still, who signed him when in charge at Dagenham & Redbridge.
But he penned a deal at Athletic last week and made his debut as a second half sub in their 2-0 defeat at Torquay on Saturday.
Prior to his move, Still had sad: “He’s a very, very, very good player, he was at Fulham, but he had nothing but injury problems at Dagenham.
“So because of that situation I said, you can come in and train, but I’m not making any promises.
“He’s played a couple of development games, but if he’s fit he’s a very, very good player.”
