Hatters duo Alex Wall and Solomon Taiwo have both been recalled from their loan spells in time for Town’s Skrill Premier clash at home with Aldershot this weekend, writes Mike Simmonds.

Wall netted six times in 11 games for Dartford, while Taiwo made six appearances for the Shots, but are now back at Kenilworth Road.

On Wall’s return, boss John Still said: “We could have called him back before Tuesday, but he was injured regardless.

“What with the game and Tony (Burman, Dartford manager) is a pal of mine, as I would expect him to, I didn’t want to talk about that.

“I spoke to Tony yesterday and said I would speak to Alex Wall today beacuse I wanted his opinion as well.

“Whatever he’s done at Dartford, I want him to want to be back here at Luton. That’s the attitude I want, that’s what I want to put him over to him.

“He could have said I don’t mind what I do and he’ll still come back, but it’s important I know his state of mind.

“But he said it was great there, loved it there, but I want to come back to Luton, want to be part of this, so he’ll be back.”

Darts boss Burman told the club’s official website: “We would like to thank Alex for all his help and take this opportunity in thanking Luton Town for all their help and assistance.”

Meanwhile, although Taiwo didn’t have the impact Still desired at Aldershot, he felt it was a worthwhile move. for the midfielder.

When asked if he was satisfied with the amount of games the midfielder played, Still said: “No I wasn’t, but that’s not down to me.

“I would have liked him to get more games, but he went there and played.

“He then got a little bit of a knock and missed the next game which I think they did okay in, so they didn’t change which I understand.

“But he got some games in which at this level is better than development games, so I haven’t got a problem with it.”

Winger Shaun Whalley will stay with AFC Telford for the immediate future though as Still said: “We’re probably going to leave Shaun Whalley until after Saturday and with the younger ones, we’ll stay as we are at the moment.”

Meanwhile, forward Paul Benson is expected to be fit too after coming off with a neck problem against Dartford in midweek.

Still added: “Paul came off with a bad neck, he’s a lot better today, so we’ll wait and see, but there’s nothing major to anyone.”
