Birthday boy Luke Wilkinson has his eye on becoming a regular on the scoresheet for Hatters this season.
The centre half netted his first goal for the club in the 2-0 win over Oxford United on Saturday.
Wilkinson, who turned 24 at the weekend, said: “The manager’s been on at us.
“Me and (Alex) Lacey, we’ve missed good chances to have scored goals in the last couple of games.
“We need to keep getting in those positions, it’s not all about the strikers.
“The midfielders have got to chip in, defenders too, so whenever we can help out it’s good.
“I look at myself as a danger when I go forward and hopefully if the ball’s on my head I can go up highest and flick it in like I did, hopefully they’ll be more to come.”
While Wilkinson was delighted to be on target, what pleased him most was another clean sheet, Town’s fourth in a row as they have now gone 382 minutes without conceding.
