It was Dunstable who took the lead on three minutes though as Oyinsan took full advantage of a defensive mix-up, and he slotted past keeper Alex Tokarczyk.

The Blues then forced three corners in quick succession, as Nathan Olukanmi and Vences Bola threatened with their pace, Bola firing over the bar.

Basingstoke threatened at times, Nana Owusu sprinting away and firing across goal.

Olukanmi put in a good deliver for Oyinsan whose snap shot went wide, while he headed off target too, with Aaron Redford going close for Basingstoke.

However, after the break, the hosts soon set about their task, as they levelled the scores on 51 minutes as Dunstable conceded a penalty and Matt Partridge beat Jack Smith from the spot.

Within two minutes, the Dragons were ahead, Ashleigh Artwell scoring his first goal of the evening.

Blues could only muster a Kelvin Bossman half chance, plus another effort from Bola as they fell further behind on 70 minutes when Michael Atkinson found the target.

It was soon 4-1 too as substitute Jordan Odofin concede a penalty which was blasted home by Owusu with eight minutes to go, while Artwell added his second three minutes later to complete the scoring.
