Barton Rovers have strengthened their squad for a play-off push, by re-signing Russell Bull and Tom Peveral, while Lucas Perry has joined on loan from Luton Town.

Joint boss Richard Wilmot said: “We need strength in depth in every position and this week has seen us fill some gaps in significant areas.

“We are chasing one more lad that we are hopeful will join us but that will then be it.

“The squad is now good enough on its day to beat the best in the league.”

Bull was on target as Rovers beat local rivals Leighton Town 2-0 at the weekend.

Connor Vincent also netted and for a full report, see the News/Gazette on sale now.
