Both Sol Davis and Dean Morgan have had their immediate futures secured by the MK Dons.
Luton's near neighbours have handed Davis a contract until the end of the season, while Morgan has signed a short-term deal.
Davis, 30, who spent seven years at Kenilworth Road, has admitted he feared for his future being on a month-to-month deal, but has impressed manager Paul Ince with his attitude.
Davis said: "There is a lot of pressure on you with a month-to-month deal as when you do get the chance to play you have to perform. Any injuries you get you think that's it – my contract is over, so it's very worrying.
"I was really worried in the summer not knowing where I was going to be and then a month-to-month deal was offered and it was better than nothing.
"So when the chance came I was glad for the opportunity I was given to try and get a contract, which thankfully the gaffer has now given me.
"I am settled in Milton Keynes. I have been here four years and have got family here and wanted to stay in the area.
"I did have the option of moving south but it would have been about four hours away, so instead I took a chance with the trial at Dons and luckily it paid off."
Ince has been impressed, and said: "Sol is a great pro and a great player who comes in and plays hard. He gives it his all and the lads love him. I still think we are a quiet team as we haven't got enough big voices and are still lacking in that experience department. But Sol gives us that and I know he will do a very good job for us."
Morgan, 26, meanwhile, arrived on trial in September and had been signed initially on a non-contract basis.
He added: "I'm glad to be given a decent opportunity by a club that's clearly going places and hopefully I can keep impressing.
"I've had to work hard in the last few weeks, but I didn't expect it to be easy because modern football is getting harder and harder.
"I feel like I've got a lot to offer. I said that to the manager when I first arrived and now that I've been given the opportunity it's up to me to make it count."
Andrew looks to net new deal
Target man Calvin Andrew is hoping to earn a new contract at Crystal Palace.
The 22-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and has only played once since his arrival from Luton Town last year.
Andrew, who underwent an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in the summer after picking up the injury on the final day of last season while on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, said: "Going into the last year of my contract and knowing I've not got long left to prove a point to get a new contract has been mentally very tough.
"I've still got a point to prove at this club and hopefully over the remaining months of the season I can do that."
