Frenchman fires home penalty

Gnakpa is spot on in Hatters win

Surprise penalty taker Claude Gnakpa revealed admitted he had to steady his nerves before netting from the spot on Saturday.

Taking the responsibility was nothing new for the mercurial Frenchman, who loves taking them in training, and he was eager to get his hands on the ball after winning the 29th-minute penalty.

He said: "It was a penalty. He touched my leg and I lost control. Tom Craddock used to take the penalties but wasn't there and I saw there's a chance for me to score so I just take it.

"I take them all the time in training, so that's why I wanted to take it today.

"I tried to take my time for the penalty and take a breath. The goalkeeper went the wrong way and I put it in."
