Gallic flair helps Town to triumph

How the Hatters rated

Mark Tyler: 6.5 – Pulled off a good stop in each half but will be disappointed to have conceded twice.

Keith Keane: 7 – Ran the midfield well, won plenty of tackles and had a mixed day with his set-pieces.

Janos Kovacs: 7 – Dominant in the air, pivotal role in Gnakpa's goal but went to sleep at the death and almost cost Town victory.

George Pilkington; 7 – Great positionally and hardly put a foot wrong – and yet United still cored twice.

Adam Newton: 6.5 – Defended well, but his passing was again too loose at times.

Liam Hatch: 7.5 – Fine header for the first goal and led the line well, but forced off through injury.

Asa Hall: 7.5 – Has improved his all-round game tremendously in recent weeks, but how he didn't score must be a mystery to everyone.

Jake Howells: 7 – Linked well with those around him, neat and tidy but didn't really hurt Hayes.

Claude Gnakpa: 8 – Marauding runs down the right, a constant danger and a real cool cucumber from the spot.

Freddie Murray: 7 – Effective defensively and a good long throw, but could get forward even more.

Matthew Barnes-Homer: 7.5 – Combined well with both Hatch and Craddock in attack but will be disappointed not to get his name on the scoresheet.

Tom Craddock (sub): 7.5 – Made a real impact from the bench, was in the thick of the action and his goal proved to be decisive.

Craig Nelthorpe (sub): 6.5 – Has undoubted qualities and an attacking mentality but needs more end product.
