Goal-getter's appetite will never be satisfied
Craddock wants more, more, more
Ambitious Tom Craddock revealed that he still isn't happy despite striking twice against Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday night.
The 23-year-old striker netted a last-minute winner in the 2-1 win, taking him to 13 goals for the season, but the goal-hungry forward wants more, more, more.
He said: "I want to score as many as possible and help the team as much as possible.
"If I hit 30 I don't think I would be happy because I want more from myself."
On his winner, he continued: "I was delighted. That's what I like, scoring goals.
"I was pleased to score, and two is very good, and when you score the winner it's a good feeling.
"I know Claude Gnakpa wins 99.9 per cent of his headers so I gambled on it and saw the keeper rushing out and tried to get a contact on it and luckily the rebound bounced close to me.
"I'm very relieved. I thought the ref let them out of jail a bit with the penalty.
"Thankfully we managed to get the second goal and pick up the very valuable three points.
"From where I was for the penalty I don't think Janos Kovacs handballed it on purpose, it was ball to hand.
"Maybe you do think sometimes it's too late.
"We have a very good spirit in the dressing room and try and play football to the very end.
"When they got the goal back we didn't let it affect us and went to get the winner and did."
And while the crowd vented their frustrations with the score at 1-1, everything turned out well in the end with a number of results elsewhere going Town's way, too.
Craddock said: "You get back in the dressing room and see the results, you would rather be on the end of our result than some of the others tonight.
"We are just staying positive on getting the right results."
On Saturday, Wrexham are the visitors and they are no strangers to Craddock for whom he scored one goal in one appearance in 2006, before injury curtailed his loan spell from Middlesbrough.
And the Red Dragons will be no pushovers according to Town manager Richard Money, who revealed Adam Newton and Liam Hatch both look likely to be missing for up to a fortnight with hamstring injuries.
He added: "I think they are one of the biggest teams in this league. I saw them last week against Stevenage.
"They are going to be tough opponents. I don't see anything other than tight, nervy games between now and the end of the season."
