Hatters Keane to keep Keith
Charlton linked with a move for key Luton Town midfielder
National newspaper reports linking League One Charlton with a move for key Town midfielder Keith Keane have been rubbished by the Hatters.
Addicks boss Phil Parkinson is said to be a huge admirer of the Irish star and is reportedly hoping to land the 22-year-old utility man for a "cut-fee price" in January.
However, Hatters director Antony Brown has dismissed the claims, including those that the Kenilworth Road club may have to be forced to sell on the cheap because of a "cash crisis".
He said: "We haven't heard anything. Nobody has contacted us from Charlton. No-one has contacted us about Keith or from any other club.
"It would take a substantial offer for us to be tempted to part with Keith Keane."
Versatile Keane, pictured, has become a key factor in Town's squad and has been particularly influential in the centre of Luton's midfield.
And Brown was adamant that Keane, who made his Town debut at the age of 16, will be one of the driving forces behind the Hatters' future success.
He added: "Keith Keane will be instrumental in any success this football club has this year, next year or at any point in the future. Keith is very much part of our plans."
