Injuries mount for Money
Asafu-Adjaye out of Barrow test
The injuries are beginning to pile-up for Luton boos Richard Money ahead of his side's trip to Barrow on Saturday.
Right-back Ed Asafu-Adjaye is definitely out of the clash with a knee injury, along with on-loan keeper Kevin Pilkington (thigh), defenders Shane Blackett (groin) and Lewis Emanuel (broken toe), plus strikers Kevin Gallen (knee) and Ryan Charles.
There are also questions marks over a number of other players, but Claude Gnakpa (minor knocks), Mark Nwokeji (ankle) and Matthew Barnes-Homer (illness) will all travel with the squad and Money is hopeful that he will have their services available.
Speaking at Thursday's press conference, he said: "Ed is having a season where he picks one injury up after another.
"It might all be related to his back, it might not be.
"Now he had a problem with a knee and won't be available for this weekend.
"Barnes-Homer has been on his sick bed all week, but he has trained this morning.
"He has looked a bit lethargic in the last 10 days and has been sickening for something.
"It's going to be part and parcel of how the season will be to the end.
"We should be able to put an 11 on the pitch that should be able to compete bit Barrow or Ebbsfleet, Oxford or Stevenage."
And while Luton will be missing on-loan stopper Pilkington, both Shane Gore and Mark Tyler will be available, with the latter having shown no more signs of the back problem that kept him out earlier in the season.
Money continued: "Tyler has been training this week and looks sound, which is the most important thing.
"We will make a decision before the weekend who goes in goal."
Training has also gone well this week and Money wants to see his players 'respond' following Saturday's 3-2 home defeat to Barrow.
He added: "I fail to see how people can says it's an all-time low when we had taken 10 points from the previous four games.
"I think the reason there's been such an overreaction is that everybody felt that three points would bring the top three back within reach and now they look as far away as they did a month ago.
"We've trained a little bit longer than I would normally like. It's heavy.
"We've had a long session today and obviously got ourselves back on the training pitch doing the work we need to do.
"Everybody is looking for a big response at Barrow at the weekend.
"They are a good team. They are a Conference team and so are we.
"You can go and watch any individual in this league in any given day and come away thinking I like the look of him."
"Luton and Luton in particular at Kenilworth Road will mean they will give what they've got to give their best performance.
"Maybe one or two are finding it difficult to get to grips with that? Maybe 6,500 are finding it difficult to get to grips with?
"If they don't play to their maximum another Conference team can beat them."
