Blues battle back for valuable Amps draw

Dunstable Town 1 Ampthill Town 1

Dunstable Town were held to a 1-1 draw by Ampthill Town in their Molten Spartan SML Premier Division clash on Saturday.

The visitors though took the lead on 56 minutes when the unmarked Christian Lester headed home a free-kick.

Similarly poor defending led to Dunstable’s equaliser on six minutes later when top marksman Lee Roache was left unchallenged for a close range header at the far post.

Dunstable entertain Biggleswade United in the first round of the Beds Senior Cup tonight.
