Weather wipes out local schedule once more

Dunstable Town were hit by the weather this week as both their trips to Frome Town on Saturday and Redditch United on Monday night were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

They are now at home to King’s Lynn Town this weekend.

Barton Rovers’ Division One Central home clash with Petersfield was also called off, and they entertain Hanwell Town this weekend and then Fleet Town on Tuesday night.

In the SSML Premier Division, AFC Dunstable dropped to third after Hoddesdon won 3-0 at Cockfosters on Saturday.

Steve Heath’s men are at home to Bedford this evening and then visit St Margaretsbury next Tuesday.

In Division One. Crawley Green moved top once more as Mark Bunger and Liam Toomey scored a 2-1 win over Codicote last Tuesday night, as they visit Ampthill in the league this weekend.

Kent Athletic were knocked out of the Beds Senior Trophy after a 2-1 home defeat by Ampthill Town on Saturday, Michael Moss on target for the hosts.

The 61 FC (Luton) were also beaten, losing 1-0 to Mursley United in SSML Division Two.

Tonight, Kent are at home to Totternhoe and on Saturday, they entertain Aston Clinton, with Totternhoe at home to Clean Slate and The 61 FC (Luton) hosting Hale Leys United.

In Reserve Division South & East, AFC Dunstable hammered Harpenden Town 6-0 thanks to Kai Ashley’s treble, with George Biggadike, Lewis Crowys and Ryan Cole scoring.

In Reserve Division North & West, The 61 FC (Luton) lost 2-1 to Mursley United, Shabba Benjamin on target.

This weekend, AFC host Holmer Green in the Reserve Challenge Trophy, while Crawley Green head to Baldock Town and The 61 FC travel to Pitsone & Ivinghoe.
