Town striker Andre Gray bagged his 50th goal for the club during their thumping 5-0 victory at Nuneaton Town on Saturday, writes Mike Simmonds.

The forward, who signed from Hinckley United in March 2012, reached the milestone in his 97th appearance for Town and is now 24th in the club’s all-time record goalscorers list.

Hatters boss John Still said: “I’m really, really pleased for Andre because he started the season a bit slowly, but never let his head go down.

“People don’t hit their form at the time you’d like them to, but he just worked hard, worked his way back into the team and he’s getting his rewards now.”

Striker Paul Benson added: “Well done to him, he’s been tremendous for us and he’s destined for bigger things.”
