Mark Tyler: 7 – Hatters keeper pulled off several good stops to keep his team in it and give them a chance of taking something from the game.
Steve McNulty: 5.5 – Hulking defender looked out of sorts and failed to impose himself on proceedings.
Solomon Taiwo: 5 – Started well and was compose at first, but his performance disintegrated as the game went on.
Jon Shaw: 5.5 – Playing despite having a hernia, unlucky not to score and lacking the quality delivery he thrives off.
Scott Griffiths: 4 – Given a torrid time all afternoon and unsurprising to see him substituted.
David Martin: 4.5 – Failed to make his mark on the game as none of his tricks really came off.
Luke Guttridge: 6 – Booking curtailed his influence, but works hard, can pick a pass and kept going until the end to snatch a late leveller.
Shaun Whalley: 5 – Well marshalled by Macclesfield and struggled to get the final ball in.
Ronnie Henry: 5.5 – Gave Town better balance at the back as he returned from a troublesome back problem.
Andre Gray: 6 – Desperately unlucky to see his drive cannon off a post, but not the threat he has been from the bench.
Alex Lacey: 5.5 – Struggled with the movement of Macclesfield’s attacker but stuck to his task.
Jake Howells (sub): 5 – Gave Luton a different perspective on the left and maybe deserves a chance there.
Mark Cullen (sub): 5 – Had a late sniff but couldn’t get a decisive touch.
Jonathan Smith (sub): 5 – Chased everything during his brief cameo.
