Mark Tyler: 6 - Hardly had a save to make as virtually all of Tamworth’s pressure came from long balls hurled into the box.
Jonathan Smith: 7.5 - Fantastic thump for the equaliser, teed up Parry for the second and ran himself ragged to close Tamworth down at every turn.
Steve McNulty: 6 - Struggled with the pacy Elford-Alliyu at times, but won a good number of headers as Tamworth bombarded the box.
Scott Griffiths: 6.5 - Sometimes found himself overloaded and outsized on the left, but importantly got his foot in on a number of occasions.
Andy Parry: 7 - Terrific strike to give Luton the lead and adds some much needed size in the centre of the park for the Hatters.
Luke Guttridge: 7 - Several canny passes and busied himself well, but is wasted on the left of midfield.
Shaun Whalley: 7 - On the front foot for much of the game, put in a great free-kick for Benson’s first and looking more like the player he should be.
Ronnie Henry: 6 - Sloping pitch put all the full-backs under pressure and Town’s skipper was as steady as ever.
Paul Benson: 8 - Thumping header for his first, cool finish for his second, should have had a hat-trick and linked play well.
Andre Gray: 7 -Tamworth’s defence struggled to cope with his pace and power as he created Benson’s second but was wasteful himself in front of goal.
Alex Lacey: 6.5 - Stood strong in the face of Tamworth’s late bombardment but still has a lot to learn about closing a game out.
Alex Lawless (sub): 5.5 - Never really got a grip on the game as Tamworth bypassed the midfield with their direct style.
Anthony Charles (sub): 6 - Experienced defender was quickly into the action as he anchored the midfield and made a number of important interventions.
